My job includes the supervision of all main company account with a world wide American company that selling very dangerous chemicals around the world head office in Belgium, operations and transactions for Land and sea transport department. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Receiving purchase orders from mother company includes material and full data about the consignee with requested ETA.
• Checking with shipping lines for the possibility of loading dangerous goods and available vessels with the route of each shipment.
• Planning with the factory in Jordan with the shipping schedule plan to meet customers request
• Book all containers with shipping lines and provide all the documents needed .
• Follow up the shipments from POL up to POD with all movements in hub ports .
• Investigate delays and delay reasons if any with shipping lines and agents to meet requested ETA and customers satisfaction.
• Controlling the shipment data sheet which includes more than 400 movement per month.
• Exporting specialized ISO tanks around the world and arrange to load it back to prove a round trip with shortest time and high efficiently.
• Preparing all documents needed for imports empty tanks for the clearance company.
• Solving any problems might appear on transport for any shipment under my responsibility.
• Reporting all above to mother company in daily basis.
- In-depth knowledge of Logistics activities, market, regulations, and main players.
- Strong business background with a solid understanding of the financial and operational needs of the organization.
• Business Development and market research.
• Purchasing relating to the equipment of the fleet, negotiating terms that serve the best interest of the company, monitoring the inventory of spare parts and material by creating SKUs and management of an efficient stock level.
• Follow up with the maintenance department to make the most efficient utilization of the company’s assets.
• Management of the company’s fleet and related human resources. This involves managing the fleet’s turnover cycles per day, month and year.
• Monitoring the fleet’s capital and operating expenditure and making sure that it is well within the budget.
• Managing all the operational and financial matters of the land freight division. This includes meeting the revenue budget of the division as well as monitoring the costs so as to achieve the desired results set by the company’s management.
My current job includes the supervision of all Marketing, operations and transactions for Land transport department. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Business Development and market research.
• Manage, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the company's transport operations
• Search, appoint and evaluate the most appropriate and efficient transport providers
• Directing the Sales Department by setting the targets and KPIs
• Managing all the operational and financial matters of the land freight division. This includes meeting the revenue budget of the division as well as monitoring the costs so as to achieve the desired results set by the company’s management.
