• Assess the technical abilities of skilled Syrian Cash for workers.
• Conduct the selection and rotation of unskilled Syrian Cash for work volunteers.
• Coordinate with logistics team regarding stock request and return.
• Ensure Stock requests are appropriate for the repairs intended and there is no misuse of supplies.
• Communicate effectively with district WASH committees and ensure a strong relationship.
• Closely cooperate with community mobilization team.
• Share experiences and lessons learnt with other RMW site supervisors to develop best practices.
• Support the project manager to review strategies and improve the effectiveness of the project.
• Support the project manager in tier 3 related repairs by supervising contractors in ACTED and non-ACTED managed districts.
• Coordinate and Supervise RMW operation in KAP & CC Refugee Camps in coordination with ACTED KAP & CC Program Coordinator.
• Actively Support implementation of Phase l Wastewater Network project in relevant district.
• Supervise Wastewater Network O&M if necessary.
• Supervise water tanks disinfection if necessary.
• Supervise other WASH R&M activities if necessary.
• Actively Support other RMW program development with engineering knowledge and previous experiences.
• Actively participate in preparation of WASH R&M expertise and assessments.
• Identify proper emergency facilities for water and sanitation access in camps and villages, which is this user friendly for refugees and host communities.
• Check water quality regularly.
• Meet SPHERE standards for quality and quantity of water sanitation facilities.
• Evaluate the construction result, community’s responds on its function and maintenance.
• Coordinate the implementation of the project’s infrastructure related activities.
• Conduct technical assessments and data analysis.
• Develop and continually update Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) for the delivery of project WASH infrastructure.
• Provide overall follow up and supervision of the engineering works related to the project.
• Inspect all WASH Infrastructure and provide certification reports.
• Provide technical expertise related to the planned infrastructure works carried out by the project.
• Monitor expenditures, budgets, and track activity expenses; ensure that appropriate action is taken in a timely fashion.
• Define the reference standards to be adopted in the planned WASH infrastructure.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and tender documents.
• Prepare and launch tender bidding procedure for construction contractor(s)
• Develop and execute a capacity-building plan for World Vision Water, Sanitation, & Hygiene (WASH) staff.
• Develop technical resources (e.g. strategic framework, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals) to guide World Vision’s WASH Infrastructure interventions, drawing from international best practices, along with field specific observations.
• Develop clear infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g. checklists).
• Conduct trainings for project staff and ‘Community WASH Focal Points’ on WASH infrastructure monitoring, operations, and maintenance.
• Report the daily progress of works to the project manager.
• Ensure that all WASH infrastructure data is well managed and provides an accurate representation of the reality on the ground.
• Validate the accuracy of the data, and the quality of the WASH Infrastructure interventions.
• Submit regular reports related to the project’s WASH infrastructure to the Project Manager.
• Liaise between the project’s stakeholders and beneficiaries
• Actively coordinate with key stakeholders (e.g. NGOs, Schools, UN agencies, government) related to WASH Infrastructure.
• Abide by the security procedures and policies and report any breaches.
• Participate in personal safety training as required and be aware of emergency procedures in a response.
• Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally, if any.
