Sounbula Mills FZE is one of the leading wheat flour manufactures in UAE. Wherein I worked as Accounting Manager for 7 years right from the establishment of the company. Henceforth I could play much important role in establishing a strong accounting system and costing concepts for the company.
Stating below some of the important responsibilities that I carried out in this company
Supervision of subordinates:
• Organize and supervise the activities and work of subordinates.
• Ensure that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
• Support them in improving their skills
Financial and Management Accounting:
• Establish appropriate procedures and controls within the department which ensures that all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the books on timely basis and are adequately supported.
• Ensure the monthly closing procedure are well managed.
• Review the TB of both parent and subsidiary company to ensure that the accounting records reflect accuracy by verifying the ledger accounts and transactions are true.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare and submit monthly Management report.
• Ensure the financial statements are prepared in accordance with International Accounting Standards.
• Prepare Cash flow statements historical and forecasted for 6 months ahead to ensure availability of sufficient working capital.
• Prepare annual budget and forecasted financial statements
• Maintain share capital register and timely update share holders' capital structure
Cost Accounting:
• Ensure that accounting related to raw material, production and FG/SFG are timely and accurately recorded.
• Ensure that product costing is updated on time to support accurate product pricing.
• Ensure monthly physical stock is verified and reconciled with the books.

Assets Management:
• Ensure that fixed asset register is maintained up to date. Perform periodic verification to validate physical presence of the assets in the register.
• Ensure that project completed are moved to Fixed Asset register from CWIP.
VAT:
• Lead the activities related to periodical VAT preparation and filing.
• Ensure that tax accounting is in compliance with the rules and regulations.
• Ensure input/output taxes are accounted accurately.
Internal /External Audit:
• Responsible to ensure that financial statements are audited smoothly and within stipulated time.
• Acted as audit coordinator and resolve audit related issues
