Assist a range of support with the implementation of the Core Competency portfolio according to plan of action.
Implements independently procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated.
Responsible for organizing and delivery of tasks in line with priorities and standards.
Develop and maintain knowledge of the specialist area of work in which technical assistance and support is being provided, in order to be most effective in supporting the team.
Use initiative in day to day problem solving in line with agreed procedures, priorities and standards for the area of work.
Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
Ensure proper filing of documents.
Promote and share ideas for improvement in your our of expertise.
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and among-st beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities:
Stays updated regarding the internal procedures and thematic guidelines;
Delivers legal awareness sessions (LAS) and individual counselling to NRC Syrian and Jordanian beneficiaries on various topics including legal and civil documentation, housing, land and
property rights and work rights
Prepares and supports legal assistance to NRC beneficiaries;
Ensures protection mainstreaming in field activities, including identification of cases for
protection referrals.
Undertakes day-to-day data collection and data entry related to field activities and
participates in field mapping exercises.
Participates in the proactive supervision of ICLA volunteers

MAIN TASKS
1. Data Collection
Under the supervision of the Area Coordinator, lead the implementation of the needs assessment and M&E field activities;
Ensure that the data are properly collected and available for analysis, reporting and future strategic orientations;
2. Reporting and Data analysis
Produce timely M&E and assessment reports including decision oriented information and recommendations;
In close collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator, ensure the flexibility and adaptability of the monitoring process and tools to integrate amendments to the projects and context evolution;
Contribute to other necessary reports upon request from line manager;
3. Human Resources Management
Manage the field evaluators schedule and objectives;
Organise the monthly planning of monitoring activities in accordance with the priorities defined by the Area Coordinator;
Organize formal briefings and debriefings and provide technical support to the evaluators on the field;
Participate to a qualitative analysis of issues faced on the field and the lesson learning processes;
Organize training/refreshment when needed;
4. Ethic and Professional practice
Respect beneficiaries’ confidentiality;
Respect and promote HI’s policies and report to line manager any non respect of these policies amongst the teams or partners;
Address needs and requests in a professional way;
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others;
Primary data collection according to assessment
methodology using a range of methods: interviews using Open Data Kit software, tele-surveys, observational surveys, updating maps, focus group discussions, participatory methods.
Data entry tasks as requested.
Adequate communication in English would be preferred
Adequate typing speed and working knowledge of Microsoft word and excel would be preferred
Ensuring all information entered into the questionnaires on the smart phones is saved and processed as per the training.
Maintaining consistent and effective work habits in the office and in the field including: timeliness and frequent and clear communication with team members.
Providing additional support as required to supporting assessments and other activities of REACH, including research tasks, and administrative and logistical support.
Reporting any security incidents to supervisor.
Assume role and responsibilities of Field Officer in his/her absence.
Support training and monitoring new enumerators
Double check the quality data collected.
Operations and data collection activities will be in host communities Governorates.
