The Training Outcomes is to identify hazards to health and safety of self and others, Minimize immediate risk to health and safety of self, casualty and others by isolating any hazards. -Assess vital signs of casualty -Position an Unconscious, breathing casualty in an appropriate position -Recognize the need for CPR -Perform CPR - Apply basic first aid -Communicate details of incident -Uses infection control when managing casualty -Control bleeding quickly and effectively -Recognize and treat shock -Recognize and treat choking -Recognize and provide emergency treatment for medical emergencies such as Asthma, Diabetes, Seizures and anaphylaxis. -Provide first aid for burn -Recognize and provide first aid for exposure to harsh climatic conditions this Course Content: Communication and its vital role in first aid, including calling for emergency assistance and casualty handover -Duty of care -Infection control -Management of a scene where first aid is required, including casualty assessment -Management of choking and near drowning -Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) -The chain of survival -The first aid kit, its contents, and how to use them -Provide assistance with medical emergencies such as Asthma -Documentation in the workplace -First aid Management of casualties with altered conscious state, bleeding and amputations,burns,crush injuries, overexposure to heat and cold,eye,ear and nose injuries,head,neck and spinal injuries . -Bites and Stongs,fractures and soft issue injuries, substance misuse, internal injuries and poisoning
