Responsible for maintaining quality transmission of signals and data from head end to hub then distributed to HFC network with in the area of distribution for the hub and back to head end.
Maintain all equipments in the hub at its operating conditions and functions.
Assist the Transmission Engineer in all aspects of network transmission operation
Responsible for the constant monitoring of hub transmission process and equipment.
Carry out preventive maintenance on all related optical/RF transmission equipment at the hub.
Perform bench test on optical transmission equipment to determine its functionality.
Perform troubleshooting / corrective maintenance procedure in the event of failure on related equipment.
Responsible for Installation, maintenance and commissioning of broadband Internet connection facilities in a Hybrid Fiber-Coax Network.Coaxial layout from tap-off to house drop for Data and CATV. Responsible for configuration of cable modem and cable modem termination system.
LAN Cabling and configuration for multiple PC connection.
Internet demonstration and CATV Programming for subscribers.
Evaluate service drops conditions from the tap-off to the drop through signal testing.Troubleshooting the RF, when there is a weak signal or no signals.
Ensure that the modem of the subscriber is working properly for getting all levels, from low band to high band and also received and transmit of the modem.
Check all possible connection or lay out of the coaxial cable for any damage or out of standard installation-checks all personal computers for improper configuration.
Involves in pro-active maintenance like evaluation of service quality that subscribers are experiencing.
Troubleshoots the problem and monitor its modem activities.
Troubleshoots the power signal problem using Signal Level Meter (SLM), Deviser, CM 1000, Power meter, Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) and Acterna Stealth Digital Analyzer.
