is a Greenfield alumina refinery located at KIZAD under construction by Bechtel-
Petrofac Joint Venture (BPJV) and managed by our End user client Emirates Global Alumina (EGA) management.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
1. Actively involved in the planning of the laydown pipe yard, marking location for storage of the Spools
as per EGA specifications.
2. Issued 80, 000 Linear Meter of Pipe spools in the year 2017-2018 (till date) to the main SMP-2 contractor
at site to support their construction and project installation activities with 99.9% Safety record.
3. Received the ATAR+ Recognition Award for Excellence in December 2017 for my performance and
contribution towards the Al Taweelah Alumina Project awarded by the BPJV senior management.
4. Worked single-handedly with the assigned Crafts/workforce and Drivers/transportation team to support all
the 3 contractors for loading activities and delivery to site during the Summer Night Shift-A.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Reports to Project Field Procurement Manager and performs materials management functions associated with the
maintenance of records, documentation and issuance of Pipe Spools received at laydown yard by various contractors.
- Provides supervision to project contractors in coordination with materials management and laydown supervisor.
- Follow up with the Fabricator for delivery and identify delays in material to project site and coordinate to deliver the
spools rejected by the Quality department for Re-fabrication and to bring the critical materials back on site urgently.
- Coordinate with the Fabricator for any short-delivered spools and arrange for the materials delivery in the next lot.
- Performs count and inspection of arriving materials (BOM) with the assistance of the Material Checkers, to verify
physical receipt of materials & maintain proper documentation & issue Material Receiving Report (MRR) in the system
- Prioritize the urgently requirement of spools on the project site and issue a status report to Management on a daily
basis and Weekly Progress Report to all the Project heads and ensure the material to be delivered within 3 days .
- Highlight any delays in the receipt/delivery of spools and/or missing spools to the Procurement manager for
immediate action to investigate the order placement with the fabricator and check the delivery notes.
- Maintains direct contact with Field Engineering, Construction and Contractors concerning the receipt
and availability of the materials for issue to the construction site.
- Controlled the issuance of the materials to constructions site and properly documented as per project procedures.
- Maintains direct working relationship with assigned crafts (workers) and clerical personnel for receipt and issue of
project materials including managing of Material Withdrawal Receipt (MWR) and data entry into Procurement system.
- To ensure the Pipe spools are sorted out in accordance with the Project storage plan and the location of the material,
is stored properly and reflected on the storage records and the relevant MSDS certificate kept for review in case of oil.
-Assisted the Materials Management site supervisor with the overall responsibility of maintaining the custody of spools.
- Coordinated with the site mechanic in case of breakdown of generator, cranes, boom loaders and other equipments.
- Assisted the BPJV personnel for inbound inspection of cranes and boom loaders on a regular basis
- Participated in the safety walk in the yard, mock fire drill to prepare the crafts in case of fire and incidents.
- Prepares and maintains inventory control records - Manual and automated.
JAFZA as Logistics In-charge
Key Result Areas:
* Responsible for the entire development, management and maintenance of purchase requisitions in coordination
with stores, purchase, projects and other relevant departments
* Carrying out activities like defining work priorities, delegating work to the departmental staff and supervising
stores team in their day-to-day activities such as
material picking, quality control, packing and delivery
as per project specifications
* Check ordered materials received against purchase
order, shipping invoices and packing lists for
conformity
* Physical inspection of the materials received against
packing lists and verified/recorded by the QA/QC dept
* Taking care of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) issued
by QA/QC dept. and resolving the issues with suppliers
* Ensuring allocation of the stock material to specific
storage racks and sorted as per project requisition
requirement
* Conducting inventories and recommending measures to
continually improve inventory control and efficiency
* Issue delivery notes to record the deliveries of
materials to the customers as per project site requirements
* Arranging the excess materials to be transported back to the warehouse by obtaining approval from site engineer
* Maintaining a register to record rental equipments like forklift, crane and TPI for in-house forklifts
* Handling preparation of materials for various major sub-stations, power plants within UAE and GCC projects
* Interacting with project coordinators and site engineers for delivery of materials to sites within the defined
schedule for commissioning of project by Civil Defense personnel.
Gulf
Oversaw function related to management of Import shipments and clearing & forwarding operations,
Invoicing/Billing for customers of the PCFC department for Dubai, Jebel Ali and Kabul branches
* Led import operations in liaison with overseas agents
Planning, directing and coordinating various programs, services and initiatives to ensure that all unit activities are
integrated in line with the overall mission, vision and goals and policies of the organization, taking adequate
measures to monitor and analyse the performance of transporters, processing and packaging units pertaining to
cost, quality and delivery targets
* Getting purchase requisition, analyzing, RFQ generation, doing commercial evaluation, negotiation, getting approval
from management and order placement
* Selecting appropriate mode of transport among the range of Air, Sea and Road for individual orders
* Interacting with vendor and user departments for complete logistics including delivery expediting with vendors
and arranging inspection
* Liaising with government departments and regulatory authorities for obtaining necessary licenses / sanctions and
ensuring compliance with various statutory obligations
* Ensuring training of employees in the related areas and maintain company policies and procedures
