• Negotiate shipping rates with carriers and sending FCL/LCL rate quotes to the Clients/vendors for air/sea/overland export inquiries using standard guidelines.
• Maximize profits by effectively negotiating shipping pricing with 3rd party carriers, couriers and haulage companies. Ensuring that goods are shipped to their destinations in the most cost efficient and timely fashion.
• Checking readiness of shipments and arranging pickup of goods/materials from client's location.
• Reserve space on vessel/ship, aircraft, trains, or trucks as per client’s requirement.
• Ensure that the load-lists are finalized in time prior to the vessel ETA. Clarify issues with the shipping lines to mitigate disputes on later stage.
• Responsible to complete essential documentation required for shipping & Clearance.
• Ensure proper packing requirements and documentation is met for Hazardous air and sea shipments.
• Responsible that containers moves inside port before end of Port cut-off and dealing with customs & port authorities for early clearance of consignment before vessel arrival.
• Assist customers with complains, questions, requests, tracking and tracking of their shipments. Assist clients in obtaining insurance reimbursements in the event of a claim.
• Follow Up with the carriers, overseas agent and airlines for the status of shipments, to ensure it gets delivered on time at destination.
• Collect & process the freight/transportation invoices & forward to Finance dept. for settlement & to ensure the payments are made as per the agreed terms of contracts
• Billing & Invoicing of service charges on the basis of Contracts/agreed Quotations
• Maintaining customers focus on all times and answering to customer’s enquiries using the standard guidelines.

• Booking Export Containers with shipping line and updating vessel schedule to them with departure and expected time of arrival at destination (ETA POD).
• Booking space on vessel/ship, aircraft or trucks as per client’s requirement.
• Inform clients of factors such as shipping options, timelines, transfers, or regulations affecting shipments.
• Coordinating with shipping line for getting container release order, vessel schedules, booking confirmation, manifests, on board confirmation, shipping instruction filling and OBL collection.
• To co-ordinate with transporter for faster movement of Container’s and to ensure timely delivery of Empty containers at Loading point.
• Responsible that containers moves inside port before end of port cut-off and dealing with customs & port authorities for early clearance of consignment before vessel arrival.
• Update shipment status, vessel schedule, draft BL to the customers for their approval, Issue and deliver original BL to the customers once vessel sail.
• Responsible to complete essential documentation required for shipping & Clearance.
• Follow Up with the carriers, forwarding agent and airlines for the status of shipment arrival, to ensure the shipment is cleared and delivered to customer on time at final destination.
• Provide shipment status notification to exporters, consignees.
• Taking ownership of complaint and queries and proactively following through to resolution.
• Calculate weight, volume and cost of goods to be moved.
• Planning & stuffing FCL & LCL (Consolidation) containers.
• Keep records of goods dispatched and received. Verify proper packaging and labelling of exported goods.
• Consolidate loads with a common destination to reduce costs to individual shippers.
• Ensure proper packing requirements and documentation is met for Hazardous air and sea shipments.
• Assort and tag consignments according to its destination, determine the weight, size of the consignment for charging the right freight.
• Make efforts to ensure no goods get broken, damaged, lost or stolen during the transportation, Carting, Stuffing or De-Stuffing containers/vehicles at warehouse (CFS).
• Liaise between the suppliers, customers, custom agents, Transporters and carriers. Coordinate their activities by keeping both parties informed about the shipment progress.
• Manage all documentations for processing shipping bill/Bill of Export required by custom authorities for allowing shipment to export such as GR Form, Packing List, Com. Invoice, AR4, Examination/Inspection Certificate, Etc.
• Responsible in handling Trailer/Container Movement from empty yard to CFS (Loading Point) & from CFS to port. Coordinating with CFS for internal movement of containers.
• Responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing cargos, attending customer quires, checking shipment orders and status.
• Preparing cargo carting report, CLP’s, preparing stuffing reports, documentation & custom clearance expenses report, reporting all the daily activities to the operation manager.
Bachelor of commerce in accounting and auditing, Mumbai University in the year 2003
