As the maintenance planning coordinator for surface facilities and plant daily duties included but were not limited to:
* Oversee the smooth and efficient daily functioning of the surface planning office.
* Provide short & long term maintenance forecast, planning & scheduling advice to engineering staff.
* Oversee weekly issuing of job cards related to engineering equipment/facilities.
* Monitor & review requisitioning of tools/spares/services required for work.
* Tracking of reconditioning process for engineering related equipment.
* Initiate/participate/conduct RCFA.
* Ensure integrity of equipment performance data in CMMS(SAP ERP)
* Request/propose/execute master data changes.
* Request/propose/execute modifications to maintenance task lists.
* Create/modify maintenance plans/inspections for repetitive/planned work.
* Coordinate weekly planing & performance meeting with section engineer.
* Assist project engineers with any manpower/equipment/material requirements.
* Oversee and maintain CMMS for area of responsibility.
* Provide first line assistance/training for issues related to CMMS.
*Ensure all health and safety policies are followed by planning staff and report all defects or required amendments.
On occasion i would act as Head Planner whom managed three operational planning teams comprising of 6 members each.
As the maintenance planner for one of the underground shafts daily duties included but were not limited to:
*Perform short & long term planning of all works orders for shaft.
* Provide short & long term maintenance forecasting reports to engineering staff.
* Weekly issuing of job cards related to engineering equipment/facilities.
* Monitor, review & create requisitions for
tools/spares/services required for work.
* Initiate and control reconditioning process for shaft equipment.
* Initiate & participate in RCFA.
* Capture and review equipment performance data in CMMS(SAP ERP)
* Request vital master data changes.
* Request modifications to maintenance task lists.
* Identify new maintenance plans/inspections requirements for repetitive unplanned work.
* Prepare presentation for weekly planing & performance meeting with shaft management.
* Assist project engineers with any manpower/equipment/material requirements.
* Liaise with external service providers to coordinate required services.
* Assist data clerk with works order or downtime related queries.
*Perform maintenance task observations in the field.
*Ensure maintenance document control is in place.
*Take care of the health and safety of my colleagues.
On occasion i would act as Senior Planner/Planning Coordinator whom managed three staff members 2X Data clerks and an additional Maintenance Planner.
*Perform preventative maintenance on various open cast coal mining equipment
*Perform equipment inspections
*Performed equipment repairs
*Complete task risk assessment
*Housekeeping
All jobs must be passed on day of trade test. it can be anything from 4-8 jobs. My Trade test included: 1.Fault find a 1000V cable 2. Wire a Direct-online starter 3. Wire a sequence starting panel. 4. Align v-bets 5. Overhaul a centrifugal pump 6. Make a tapered key 7. Fault find a hydraulic circuit 8. Construct a rectification circuit and take measurements with an oscilloscope.
