I work full time with nurse patient ratio of 1:10 in 40 hours per week shifts; The current roles and responsibilities involve patient triage and obtaining patient rapport, nursing history and physical assessment. Prioritizes needs, problems of patients and establishes nursing diagnosis; Performs direct emergency nursing care, services and assists physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and patient health education.
As a team member, the responsibility involves receiving and endorsing patients’ charts, equipments, medicines and supplies. Records assessment, interventions and evaluation of nursing care. Notifies immediate superiors of unusual, difficult situation/ conditions. Updates and completes record like chart, log books, disease surveillance reports and patient registry.

CASES HANDLED: OB Cases- PUFT, Newborn Screening, Newborn Care, C-section cases; URTI, CAP-Adult/Pedia, PTB, COPD; AGE, BPUD, Anemia, Chemical/Pesticides ingestion, BFC, Hypertension Urgency, CAD, CVA-Stroke; DM-type 1 and 2, UTI, Chemical/Electrical Burns, Mechanical job-related injuries, Sprains, Minor head injury, mechanical abrasions; Open and closed fracture; Disarticulation of diabetic foot.
The roles and responsibilities involve mainly as a first-aider and collaborate closely with company physicians, company dentists, nurses, company technicians, engineers, security, staffs and company personnel; also acts as liaison between clients and hospital personnel in facilitating admissions, transfers and ambulance transports;
Manages heavy daily client volume including doctor’s appointment scheduling, patient referrals, and also prepare clients for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, dental services, annual physical examinations and immunization schedules.
Clerical tasks include answering telephone calls, file in sick leaves, medical reimbursements acquisitions, hospitalization coverage, and accident reports to the company’s system and submit monthly summary reports to HSE Manager and Nurse Supervisor. Restock drug dispensary supplies corresponding to the monthly summary reports. Conducts health teachings / monthly health promotion advisory / safety seminars and facilitate annual fire drill and emergency preparedness exercises in line with the company’s policy and protocol.
