Project Manager with a background in engineering offering project management services to clients including planning, executing, monitoring and controlling projects in the fields of Oil&Gas, Mining, and renewables. My role entails coaching and training staff, coordinating all project activities with the client, producing progress reports to clients and upper management and ensuring that the project is within the allocated budget and time frame. Following is a brief list of my principal achievements:

- Developed a reference Project Management Guide adapted to the specific context of the clients activities. The guide presented the standardized approaches, methods and tools to be used by the clients project teams for the installation of biorefineries, estimated at $10-70 million. The guide was developed with the purpose of integrating the current best practices in project management, as defined by the industry leading organizations (PMI, IPA) and companies, into the clients project management protocols.

-Managed and coordinated all activities pertaining to the preparation and implementation of documents required to carry out the commissioning and start-up of the expansion of an iron ore installations in Canada, evaluated at $650 Millions. Developed the project execution strategy. Trained and coached staff. Monitored the status of all deliverables and managed changes to scope, schedule, and cost. Produced monthly progress report to the client.

-Managed the engineering for the installation of a recirculation line and its auxiliary instruments within the crude oil unit of a refining facility. The purpose of the new line was to reduce the temperature of the crude oil vacuum tower bottom. The project had a strict timeline, requiring that the installation be completed during the unit shutdown.

- Coordinated and carried out all activities pertaining to the process engineering design of the Outside-Battery-Limit (OSBL) installations for our client. Developed the piping and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs). Developed the hydraulic calculation standard and performed hydraulic calculations for the sizing of OSBL networks including cooling water, plant water, steam, instrument air, and nitrogen networks. Carried out the sizing of storage tanks, pumps, and control valves. Defined equipment specifications and contacted suppliers.

-Assisted the business development unit in planning and preparing of the development of the North African market. The work involved the development and refinement of the company vision and strategy, the coordination of tendering activities, the management of marketing activities including website development, marketing material improvement, and the representation of the firm at the 2009 Chemical Engineering Congress and the 2010 World Energy Congress.
