•Manage all financial accounting activities for QMDI including, but not limited to, develop and implement accounting policies and procedures at QMDI aligned with international standards and in compliance with the local regulations, prepare the financial statements and oversee the recording of financial transactions.
•Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payables and accounts receivables and provide guidance and advice on resolving complex accounting issues. •Gather working capital requirement forecasts from the operations team and the management, forecast shortfalls based on projected payable and receivable amounts and ensure appropriate and adequate measures are taken to meet this requirement.
•Ensure that all the supportings pertaining to accounting transactions are maintained in an accurate manner to meet regulatory and QMDI requirements.
•Oversee the preparation of QMDI’s financial statements on timely basis, ensure that statements comply with the international regulations and standards.
•Supervise the timely submission of financial statements to relevant authorities internally and externally. Provide explanations and supporting information for any clarifications, if required.
•Liaise and coordinate with both internal and external auditors for periodic review of financial records and documents.
•Maintain and develop strong relationship with Banks and other financial institutions. Negotiate with such institutions to obtain value services for the company, wherever possible.
•Work with the Head of Financial Reporting to review and update the Chart of Accounts based on business requirements and reporting structure.
•Identify, implement and monitor opportunities for systems / processes / practices improvements with respect to QMDI’s accounting function and internal control.
