Prepare bids and quotations for new business from offices/ overseas agents and intra-company departments
Identify areas of risk and opportunity for risk due to ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts in the contents of documents relative to the contract. Prepare a risk mitigation plan with the project team and manage the plan’s execution
Devising SOP/SIPOC for day to day operations and acceptance/handling of goods at warehouse
Directing and analyzing all elements of the supply chain and making recommendations as to how the process can be optimized. Providing cost savings recommendations and ensuring spend is within budget
Researching and planning the most appropriate route/airline for the shipment, taking into account various factors such as nature of goods, cost, transit time & security.
Ensuring all team members are meeting and exceeding expectations, taking corrective action when needed and conducting periodic updates and performance reviews
Managing operations (Import, Export, Air to Air, Cross Trade, Air to Land GCC, customer service), handling local and regional ofices via a team of 14 Instrumental in addressing the problems with order flow or shipping delays and quality-control issues, as well as day-to-day concerns with warehouse capacity and client deadlines Analyzing statistical data to ascertain trends in performance, resulting in efective and eficient use of logistical resources Controlling costs, reduce lead time to customers, increased turns/product via various Process Re engineering initiatives Point of contact for controlling credit limit for customer's on a regular basis Data churning, data mining, MI reporting of airfreight PnL, reporting to US HQ, facilitating decision making Build, Motivated and Coached team for performance enhancement coupled with regular training
