Duties and Responsibilities (HSE Officer):

Inspection of all work site and communication of corrective measures to the management by daily site safety inspection report.
To Advice the all workers and Engineers as well as the foreman to leaves the basting area. Along 500 M while blasting is proceeding.
The Safety officer must ensure that the danger area is clear of workers and is kept clear during the blasting period.
The Safety Officer must post workers who have the sole responsibility of guarding against entry into the danger area of the blast site.
Must ensure that all workers and machines have reached a place of safety.
When a blast initiated by electrical methods cannot be verified to have completely detonated, or is suspected to have misfired, the blasting engr. must disconnect the firing lines from the blasting machine, before permitting anyone to enter the danger area.
To coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste.
Collecting MSDS from the concerned department and passing it to the relevant supervisor for safe task execution.
All the required permits shall be obtained before starting the job.
All issued work permits and copies of Risk Assessment shall be kept in a Permit Box at site.
Ensure Tool Box Talk carried out on weekly basis by site supervisors and maintain records by having employee’s signature and date thereof.
Implement strictly the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) while or performing their job at the site area.
 Maintaining absolute safety while performing hot works, compressed gas cylinder safety.
Monitoring the inspections of vehicles and construction equipment.
Provide portable toilet, proper barricading of the work area with signage.
Cool down shelter and drinking water shall be available at site.
Installing Fire extinguisher and refilling record maintaining.
Ensure good housekeeping thought out the period of work.
