As Utilities Engineer looked after Operation and maintenance of captive gas based power plant
and utilities -- RO plant, compressors, gas skids and switchyard.
Commissioning of new Captive Power plant 108MW, equipped with 3 GE frame 6 gas turbines and its auxiliaries. Handled Gas turbine control system retrofit from SECONTIC system to new TurboLogic system with SIEMENS PLC.

Plant was equipped with
189MW installed capacity captive power plant with 3 GE Frame 6 turbines and 3 BBC 9D gas turbines, 115 KV GIS switch gear, 2 No. 25MVA 50 HZ to 60HZ frequency converters, electrical distribution system. Plant utilities include RO plant, gas skids, HSD and crude oil handling and treatment plant and compressors.

Operations department head, of two CCPP power plants, 235MWCCPP and 228 MWCCPP. Job including annual operating plans preparation, budgetary preparation. Coordination with external agencies like state electricity board, fuel supply agencies- GAIL, BPCL for plant operational issues.

As Asst. Manager, was independent shift in charge of 235MWCCPP, looked after start-up, shutdown, watch keeping, monitoring of ABB 8C gas turbines, Dual pressure HRSG, steam turbine, auxiliaries, BOP equipments, 220KV switch yard operations, isolations & normalization.
• Plant monitoring, routine maintenance, identification and rectification of equipment and system related troubles.
• Re-commissioning of gas turbine after major overhaul.
• Plant performance monitoring, auxiliary power saving activities. Part of the team to prepare SOPs for the plant operation and training needs of the operating staff.

Steam, power balancing to optimize power generation. Performed routine maintenance and repair of critical equipments. Involved in successful commissioning of 200 TPH circulating fluidized bed boiler with DCS control.
