After rejoining Oracle I managed the accounts for African operations (all the African region apart from South African and Middle East). Duties included:

• Monthly balance sheet review and training where recs did not meet high standards

• Planning, facilitating and coordinating annual audit process for African Operations and preparing Consolidated accounts for Oracle Systems Limited (OSL), brining audits up to date FY09-FY12

• Sun Acqusition- Due dilligance, and migration of Data from Sun to Oracle systems- complication-No african operation in Sun- Sun was alligned to Oracle, data migrated and the information had to be be split between cash basis (as aop was cash basis in oracle and credit in Sum) and non cash basis (on invoices paid
• identified control issues and addressed them even though sometimes there was not enough support available and then ensured a high standard was kept

balance sheet scorecard- aligning balance sheet scorecard to who actually prepares the recs and who actually should prepare them
helped with Romania Fixed asset register- the FAR was maintained manually in Romanian language, I first of all had to match the information provided to the Signed FS and then bring it up to date and also prepared the Finacial note
Finance VP selected me to join project relating to the finance awards, the team consisted of senior managers directors and VP's- redesigned the Finance recognition award, prepared sideshow and presented to senior managers round Oracle globe, on quaterly basis had an input on who should get that quarters award.
Worked with AR manager to eliminate the differences caused between AR and deferred as AOP was cash basis deferred should match AR
HC correction and a process put into place to ensure on a monthly basis HC was being recorded corrctly
