- Working in line with AMAPETCO HSE G.M as PIP HSE representative in its JV with Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation EGPC.
- Reporting to company two managing directors (2 MDs).
- Working as advisory role to company top management.
- Ensure that contractors and sub-contractors working for the company are complied with HSE policy guidelines.
- Share in setting technical terms & conditions for tenders and sharing in tenders evaluation as well.
- Conduct HSE training to company & contractors staff when required.
- Conduct HSE audits & site visits and preparing & approving audit reports and required action plans.
- Review EIA studies for any new project and answer all clarifications raised by EGPC & EEAA (Egyptian Environmental Affair Authority).
- Follow up compliance with all laws, regulations & other requirements.
- Follow up implementing all HSE measurements (emissions, NORM, waste water measurements…etc).
- Share in setting internal & external training programs for all HSE staff.
- Share in HSE budget items preparation.
- Share in appraisal for all HSE subordinates.
- Share as a member in accidents investigation team in any accident may occur.
- Analyze accident reports, put recommendations, and corrective actions that prevent reoccurrence.
- Work with high managerial levels on setting company HSE policy statement, objectives and editing company manual of procedures and working instruction.
- Deliver HSE reports for the company operations.
- Participate in measuring the performance concerning occupational health, safety and environmental issues existing.
- Ensure that sufficient training in HSE matters is provided.
- Participate where appropriate in HSE studies such as: Accident investigation, EIAs, Risk assessment, Waste management…etc
- Ensure that contractors and sub-contractors working for the company are complied with HSE policy guidelines.
- Ensure that non-conformance and deficiencies related to HSE standards are identified and reported and appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Attend meetings of HSE managers committee.
- Prepare HSE annual plan.
- Preparation of monthly HSE statistics.
- Follow up third party certificate.
- Preparation, modification and activation of Emergency Response Plan.
Assist, develop and participate in the EGPC HSE onshore and offshore auditing
plan like auditing in GUPCO western desert, AGIBA, BAPETCO (Bader
El-Din), PETROBEL, EDC (Egyptian Drilling Company), PETROJET, PMS
(Petroleum marine service) and many other locations.
- Review the HSE policy and procedures.
- Review emergency and evacuation plans.
- Check the fire fighting equipment.
- Prepare and conduct fire and evacuation drills.
- Routinely check of Contractors to verify compliance with HSE Standards and
Procedures.
- Participate in many accidents investigation and prepare the reports including the
root causes and the needed recommendations, then follow-up their implementation.
- Study and review Companies HSE statistical reports
- Review the specs of required safety products & foaming agents according to
NFPA, UL, ANSI standards to ensure the companies needs.
- Implement HSE data analysis for measuring the performance.
- Conducts safety training & meetings to promote personnel awareness to safety
rules, regulations and procedures.
- Third party HSE advisor / auditor for many projects in oil and gas field for several clients like Qatar Petroleum (QP), Ras Gas (RG), Gulf Helicopter and construction like SEG Company, CCIC, Time Qatar, CAT, Hyundai & HBK.
- Preparing EIA studies.
- Establishing & reviewing HSE procedures for the clients.
- Working in turbine maintenance department then in operation department on DCS system for operating 2 units*350MW.
