Head of IT network security and quality assurance at Ministry of electricity and water

Responsibility of the Network and systems covering 24 major websites.the department includes 3 sections for Network, security and quality assurance, and Systems. the security and quality assurance covers strategy and policy, installation and maintenance of security hardware and software.
The Systems include the servers and main computers, and the operating and backup systems.
The Network includes switches and routers, MPLS, Frame Relay and Leased lines communications.
The major project handled was the deployment of windows server 2003 over 12 sites including active directory and DFS infrastructure.
The systems include IBM, DELL servers, and the systems include Unix, Linux, and windows.

Director Business development and IT at Alshehab Aluminium Factory

This is a three months project. The requirement was to conduct an overall business analysis and provide recomendations for product development and Information Technology requirement.

The result was the implementation of the following:

1- Advertising: a new and large show room was built featuring all products portfolio with attractive arrangement. A suitable decoration and attention paying advertisment at the outside.

2- IT: Preparation of a recomendation for the development of the Ordering system, which included enahancement to the database, to provide extra marketing and accounting information.

3- Organisation structure: the customer services re-organised to have account managers who follow up the production and installation of the product all the way through. A liasion officer position was created to handle all the dealings with the goverment departments and associated agencies.

Manager Internet and Datacom Development at Bahrain Telecommunicatins Company

Responsible for the introduction of new and development of the Internet Service Provider platform Network, Systems, Applications, and other IP and Customer Digital services.
It involves New Business Development, Requirement analysis, Engineering activities, Project Management as well as Training.

Tasks include the following:
-Keep abreast of the technologies.
-Produce feasibility studies and Business cases, and present and discuss them with the Capital Review Board.
- Collect and Compile users requirements, and submit RFI (Request For Information) to potential suppliers.
-Study RFI's, short list qualifiers, consult the users, and produce a Design and User Specification and RFQ (Request For Quotation) along with the contract terms and conditions, and submit to the potential suppliers .
-Evaluate the tenders, short list the candidates and produce a selection report to the company board of directors.
-Review the Design with the First selected supplier, and negotiate the contract terms and conditions and Project management.
-Coordinate and Implement the Project, held project review meetings with the suppliers and Project team, and report the progress to the Company Project Review Board on regular basis.
-Identify pre-requesits and operational required training for the Engineering and Operational teams.
-Carry out Factory Acceptance and final Acceptance tests.
-Produce support documentations.
- Handover the working product to the Operations departments.
-Produce Work processes.
-Present quarterly Return On Investment review to the Capital Review Board over one year.

Manager Datacom Service Delivery and Assurance at Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco)
