Role:
Strategic:
• Assist the Finance Manager in implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.

Audit:
• Coordinating with the Auditors, reviewing the trial balance, Accrued, Prepaid, Account receivable, Inventory, Assets schedule before sending it to auditors.

Monthly Activities:
• Reviewing the monthly purchase reports with inventory level and forecasted sales.
• Conducting the monthly review of inventory and account receivable of wholesale and retail division.
• Supervising provision of obsolesce of inventory and provision for bad debt for receivable as per company policy and providing summarized report for presentation.
• Monitoring complete accounts finalization for 2 foreign associate companies in Qatar & Bahrain.
• Helping the Group Finance Manager for budgeting and other adhoc reports, as required.
• Developing the report for setting credit limits based on average sales, profitability, payment history and customer purchasing power.
• Overseeing the acquisition of capital assets and ensuring that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of after getting appropriate approval from management.
• Reconciling of intercompany accounts, by direct coordination with divisions.
• Ensure all customers receive statements of accounts, coordinating with the departments to resolve customer queries regarding statement of account.
• Reviewing Accounts Payables, Checking for the proper documentation before payment is given for management signature.

Daily Activities:
• Validating the foreign trips expense with the limits before processing for reimbursement.
• Reviewing each new credit application form for the appropriate completion of documents, trade references along with discussing the credit limits to be set for the new customer.
• Evaluating the sales figures of sales team with the forecasted figures and tracking the collections from customers.
• Verifying the import payment documents before sending them for approval.
• Handling the approval of sales invoices including over-exceeding credit limit or outstanding payments.
• Leading the accounts team of 8 members and helping them to close the books on time.
People management:
• Build internal relationships with employees and staff within finance department and across the different departments in the company

Achievements:
• Holds the credit of recovering old outstanding amounts from 2011 worth Aed. 400, 000 by closely coordinating with sales team and customers directly along with discussing various ways of resolving old debt with customers, following strict policy of credit control and highlighting management and sales team leader on and when the limit for particular customers is breached. This has enabled a healthier account receivable aging report.
• Steered efforts for minimizing number of invoices which were wrongly posted in system by implementing pick list to avoid rectification along with better coordination of data entry team and by introducing delivery on sale concept.
• Played a pivotal role in designing internal controls manual for assisting the team members in understanding the workflow and SOP.
• Actively involved in driving customer profitability analysis along with credit terms along with items which are to be provided on specific terms and specific quantity while focusing on efficiently utilization of logistic, warehouse space and labor.
