Construction engineer-team leader duties:
• ‘Shipyard-in-a-box” concept proponent. Redefined project work-flow and successfully excelled clients expectations re time/budget.
• Propagating the “right-tool-to-the-task” methodology within project team. Delivering efficient structural assessment via wide range of solutions (simplified empirical up to detailed FEA),
• Streamlined company’s QA engineering procedures while ensuring the continuation and enhancements of assessment quality.
• Performing structural aspect critical element check. Hands-on approach prior to subsequent submittal to Class Society /Yard/Fabrication company
• Providing clear and concise technical assessment report suitable for Third Party Review.
• Tasking and supervising engineering team consisting of senior /junior engineers, draughtsmen, surveyors.
Project manager/ shipyard resident contributions:
• Developed turn-key engineering solutions throughout shipyard OOS/reactivation campaigns.
• Autonomously oversaw engineering work scopes from site survey/ concept stage, up to installation, commissioning stage.
• Established a role of focal point between shipyard management, fabricator and class society.
• Responsible for deadlines and approval of design works. Liaising with construction managers and crew. Specialised in short fuse (12/7) work scopes.
• Successfully chaperoning clients throughout Class Society submittal and approval process.
• Linking & troubleshooting interdisciplinary aspects of the design (structural, mechanical, electrical, logistic) between 3rd parties, subcontractors and fabricators.
• Imprinted use of 3D Laser Technology into design work flow.
• Keeping project on tracks with use of progress reports, budget utilisation tracking. CTR quotations.
• Contributed with quantity estimation for projects that successfully won bidding processes.
• Progressively took over duties for detailed design of bridges, roads and embankment structures.
• Liaising with subcontractors, , local authorities and site managers. Project scheduling, milestone tracking.
• Fabrication drawings, general arrangement plans. Reinforcement detailing layouts, formwork plans.
• Detailed design - bolted/welded connections.
