• Participate in Preparation of Project Management Plan, Project Execution Plan.
• Schedule the project by Sequence the Scope of activities in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.
• Engage project team to prepare and complete work packs earlier than a construction activity begins.
• Determine resource/equipment requirements and ensure the timely availability of resources/equipment to the construction sites.
• Verify documents in view of compliance with project quality, safety codes and other regulations.
• Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, execution team, and frontline worker.
• Meeting with engineers and sub-contractors on an ongoing basis to attain project objectives and progress.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.
• Implement the lesson learnt, Expert Judgments to mitigate the project risks.
• Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather or emergencies at construction site.
• Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
• Investigate damage and accidents at construction sites to ensure that proper procedure are being carried out.
• Mentor and motivate site teams.
• Ensuring budget costs relating to wages, sub-contractors, materials, and equipment aren’t exceeded.
• Review, Approving of purchase requests and control procurement activities.
• Ensuring the construction process starts and ends on time and ensuring daily and weekly deadlines are met.
• Record project lesson learning and submit to Project Management Office.
• Leading with well coordination and supporting the E&I team for execution of day to day task with fully compliance of HSE,
Quality and Cost effectiveness always according to management beneficial.
• Solely taking independent responsibility for successful completion of task in compliance with the Project schedule.
• Accountable for the management, execution and delivery of the assigned tasks.
• Sound working knowledge & experience with Hazardous area installation in accordance with ATEX, IEC Ex requirements.
• Actively involved in Job Safety Analysis, Risk Assessment as per activities involved in Method statement.
• Conduct Toolbox Talk on daily basis and discuss hazard controls based on every job & site condition change.
• Preparation of Method statements such as for; Cable laying in underground & above ground; 33/0.415 KV, 2.5MVA Transformer installation around 10 ton including lifting plan; Junction Boxes, Panel Board, Equipment such as Light
Fixtures, F&G Devices, Process instruments, PAGA, Telephones, CCTV Camera, Welding sockets, Wind shock, Outdoor Antenna's; Poles for flood lights, street lights, VHF & HF Antenna, Outdoor CCTV; Cable repair & jointing as per vendor procedure; Earthing Systems including Cad weld, Crimping system; Cable ladders/trays, supports installation; Installation and testing of MV and LV cast resin bus ducts; Lighting & Distribution switchboards, F&G, BPCS, Network Cabinets; Power Transformers Oil Filtration and filling works.
• Instrumental in selecting vendor/supplier based on prizing, delivery schedule, quality performance and troubleshooting of products as per project specification.
• Familiar in raising Material approval request and follow-up for Contractor & Company approval.
• Preparation of Work-pack for the activities in-line with the work sequences such as Cable laying, Equipment installation, glanding & termination, AITR inspections.
• Review & Forward the Material request generated by Discipline Engineers to Contractor through Material Controller and
follow-up for ETA of Construction Materials.
• Assisting Project Manager & Construction Manager for identifying Manpower, Equipment and all machinery and tools to effectively execute project in view of forecast work front availabilities.
• Ensure valid security passes, manpower and equipment certification prior mobilization to site.
• Participate in Engineering meetings for design issues, constructability and resolving through Site Technical Queries (STQ).
• Actively involved in Weekly construction meetings to follow-up for construction material delivery dates, Workfront opening
and resolve inter-discipline issues.
• Participate in Site Walkthrough with Civil & Mechanical Sub-Contractor for inter discipline handover of buried trenches release, Structural platform release, pipeline clearance, Vendor package access vice versa.
• Participate in Mock-up inspection to clear discrepancies in quality and technical issues.
• Site survey with Contractor for Quantification of additional works and request for Site instruction/Variation request and approvals.
• Coordination with Planning Engineer/Project Control Engineer for aligning the sequential activities in the Scheduled flow of work with inclusion of additional scope of works without causes for project delay.
• Raises the pre-requests for the additional manpower and resources for managing additional scope of work.
• Ensures timely submission of work closeouts and timesheets for claiming the additional works.
• Manage the site activities during the absence of Construction Manager and ensures the progress are in line with planning schedules.
• Monitoring, Execution and Controlling of AITR liquidation progress.
• Attend interface management meetings with CONTRACTOR as and when requested by CONTRACTOR.
• Completely responsible from Design input, Material quantification, procurement assistance, Construction till completion & Handover.
• Construction for new building, repair activities, conversion of vessels, offshore self-elevating, jack - up drilling units, offshore supporting vessels, process platform, etc.
• Instrumental in supporting planning department to make project completion schedule, monthly and weekly progress schedule, manpower histogram, Budgetary plan.
• Supporting a drafting and design team with activities including:
o Detailed Engineering of Lighting Calculation, Short Circuit Current Calculation, Transformer Sizing, Motor Sizing, Cable Sizing, Voltage Drops, Cable Tray Sizing, MCT Sizing, HVAC P&ID, Fire Dampers etc.
o Creation of Single Line Diagram, Electrical Load Analysis, Cable Schedules, Termination Schedules, MCT Schedule, Junction Box Schedule, etc.
o Design of Motor Control Centers, Power Distribution Boards, Lighting Distribution Boards, Control Panels, etc.
o Development of layout like Lighting Layout, Cable Tray Layouts, Earthing Layouts, Fire & Gas Detector Layouts, PA/Telecom Layouts, etc.
o Assisting HVAC team for identifying Heat Loss/BTU to select AC unit capacity.
o Supports PDMS/Navis Work personnel for developing Duct routing layout without clashes with Structural & E&I equipment’s.
o Supports HVAC Engineers for making Comment Resolutions for Comments raised in Engineering drawing by ABS, DNV, NORSOK, IRS, DNV.
o Carrying out selection of equipment suitable for various hazardous area classifications like Zone-0, Zone-1 & Zone-2.
• Assisting estimation department by Undertaking technical bid evaluation of various electrical & instrumentation items; developing purchase specifications & RFQs as per relevant specification and design requirement.
• Close coordination & Execution support to HVAC team for resolving Constructability issues, bridging HVAC design team and Power & Control panel vendor to align the requirement in-line with project requirements.
• Attending FAT at HVAC Control panel & Switchgear manufacture factory for logical function confirmations.
• Executed the installation & logical testing of HVAC instruments such as Diff. pressure switches, Flow switches, Temp. Sensors, LCS, Fire Damper ON/OFF functions throughout the project completions.
• Able to do field modification in Freezer & Chiller control panels as per vendor recommendation incase of changes in field factors.
• Undertaking responsibility for manpower mobilization, tools requirement analysis, site consumables orders, daily task plan and execution, vendor evaluation with cost negotiation, construction meeting with client/yard, conducting meeting with project teams, coordinating with commissioning during commissioning stage etc.
• Co-ordination for cable trench excavation, back filling work inside and outside Plant area without disturbing of any underground services.
• Maintaining inventory record of procured systems and accessories and subsequent transfer of material to various site locations, maintaining the record of materials.
• HV & LV cable laying & DB, SDB Installation.
• Installation of cable trays & entire earth related works.
• Responsible for Erection and Testing Co-ordination of 11/0.415 KV, 1 MVA, 1.6 MVA Transformer, LV Panels, MCC, UPS, Transformer, Battery Banks, etc in Substations.
• Installation of Street lighting poles, High mast.
• Carried out works related with layout of Underground Cable, Building Wiring, Building Maintenance, etc.
• Preparing and sending Daily Progress Report (DPR) to Company.
