Al-Shalawi Co. Saudi closed joint-stock company operates in seven Business Sectors, namely Construction, Transportation, Real Estate, Trading, Asphalt, Ready-mix concrete, Travel & Tourism and Services. Large-scale investments are made in developing land and property through our Real Estate Division and many business partnerships are initiated with global companies via our Investment Division.

Areas of responsibility:
 Chief Accountant. (Directly Reporting to VP Finance).
• Preparing financial and management reports (i.e. budgets, periodic and annual Financial Statements & segment reporting, in accordance with local accounting standards for internal and external purposes).
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.
• Providing management with accurate and complete financial information, including financial statements, variance reports; to monitor operating expenditures and revenues and to make timely recommendations for corrective actions.
• Prepare Board Meeting Reports (To present the Group Quarterly results & performance).
• Represent the company in dealing with various banks to negotiate competitive bank facilities.
• Develop, recommend and maintain a system of policies, procedures and manuals that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities, (i.e. Fixed Assets Management Policy, Provisions Policy, Business Trip Policy & Payroll Cycle Manual).
• Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of a Finance Department structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
• Supervising the activities and employees of the financial department in conformance with the approved systems, policies and procedures and delegated authorities.

 Managing all assets addition and disposal on FA register:
- The company owns a large number of assets that exceeds 8500 items (heavy equipment, cars,
furniture, …etc) spread all around the kingdom.
- Calculate financial lease contracts payments and interests for assets.
- Merge and disposal of assets and calculate gain/loss resulted from these actions.
- Supervise the periodic assets check process.
- Calculate monthly depreciation expenses.
