Integrate various components received from development team into mVAS platform (consists of VMWare, Openstack and Netapp storage) and then into SMSC, MMSC and Voice Gateway. Deploy and test the new release in lab and also provide tier-4 support for deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
•Design, Implement and Integrate mVAS platform, SMSC, MMSC and Voice Gateway Systems using automation framework like Ansible.
•Provide continuous integration and deployment in agile methodology.
•Develop work plans, system requirement analysis, and design review and effort estimation of all aspects related to System Integration.
•Draft technical instructions (Release document), engineering plans, technical designs and other integration related documents which will be used by deployment and support engineers.
•Build and maintain the codes in the Dime(kind of Git) and clearcase (version control software).
•Automate the installation tasks using shell, python and Ansible.
•Prepare upgrade documents, modify the relevant scripts and test the upgrade in lab environment before release.

Achievements:
•Openstack Migration: Infrastructure migration from VMware to Openstack. Whole infrastructure provision was done automatically using ansible. Hundreds of HP servers were provisioned within hours.
•deutsche telekom: New version 5.3.1.0 is released for deutsche telekom on VMware 5.5 and Netapp c-mode 8.2. Installation is fully automated using Python scripts. Excel parsing is extensively used to make deployment easier and faster.
•deutsche telekom: Upgrade is released for deutsche telekom on VMware 5.5 and Netapp c-mode 8.2.
•Verizon: One of the product ECS is made Dual stack using Ansible and Python with end to end responsibility.
•VMWare’s vMotion, HA and DRS is integrated to existing platform to minimize the outages during maintenance

Provide end to end support in installation, migration and integration of Ericsson IN and VAS Servers with 3pp and core network elements.

Key Responsibilities:
•Implementing, configuring, integrating telecom servers with little or no support from development/customer support team.
•Test the release in LAB before deployment.
•All activities should be done at customer site with end to end responsibility; from taking rack mounted hardware to till servers go live.
•OS/Software upgrading and installing patches in existing servers.
•Working with different vendors like HP, SUN, and CISCO to resolve hardware related issues and at the same time coordinating with customer to deliver the solutions in time.
•Directly coordinating with development and sales team to give feedback/suggestions on the existing products or customisations.
•Product configurations for SDP and AIR.
•Provide tier-3 support for charging system nodes CCN, SDP, AIR, VS etc.
•Participate in meetings with the customer for collecting the requirements for implementation. Based on customer interest, arrange special meetings.
•Providing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) In case of any failure in network.
•All activities needs to be completed within 6hrs (maintenance window) with no exception and activity should be logged in BMC Remedy tool.
•Coordinate with planning, Change management and customer to successfully plan and execute CRs.


Achievements:
•Rajasthan IN De-centralization: 3 CCN(Ericsson NSP6), 3 SDP (6 HP DL360 Gen8 servers in cluster), 1 AIR (HP DL360 Gen9) and 1 Archive server (Sun T2000) are implemented, integrated into existing IN, core, packet core and 3pps. Also 100 million subscribers migrated from old SDP to new SDP.
•Indosat Audit project: All IN nodes are audited for dimensioning, faults and failures in network and reports were submitted to the customer which generated more revenue to Ericsson in terms of new contract and Indosat bought 6 new hardware.
•Tanzania: 2 Voucher Servers (4 SUN X4-2L servers+2 EMC storage devices) are installed in Geo-Redundancy configuration using Oracle data guard for Airtel Tanzania and 0.5 million vouchers are migrated from old VS to new VS.
•Indonesia: 1 million subscribers migrated from old SDP and CCN to New SDP and CCN for Indosat in Indonesia.
