Key Profile: Joined Du (Integrated telecommunications service provider), Leading Four teams of 10+ persons, reported to the Vice President - IT Infrastructure and managed e-Business application support functions.
• Responsible for guiding e-Business Application Support staff in handling Du front-end production systems including Selfcare Portal, eShop, Power Billing, Vignette CMS, Directory Enquiry, NBA, LDAP and Carrier Pry Select between Du & Etisalat. In addition to Payment Gateway, Point of Sale Support, Mobile Portal and Bill shock prevention frontend support teams.
• Involved in the architecture, design, integration of all e-Business systems to ensure optimum performance and availability including architecture and establishment of a complex hosting farm for the company web portals.
• Handled daily management of 35+ Servers and supervised second & third line support staff for e-Business systems onsite and offshore.
• Involved in online payments management including automation & complex integration with all backend systems.
• Coordinated with vendors to ensure systems stability and quality second level support delivery for each system.
• Responsible for systems sizing, capacity planning & monitoring, procurement & change management process, risk planning and disaster management.
Achievements:
• As part of Du startup team, launched all e-Business systems from scratch and managed and ensured 99.99% up time for all eBiz systems.
• Developed and managed a complex web portal farm of 30+ servers of mixed technology from over 5 vendors.
• Effectively managed a complex self-service and ecommerce portals, serving 2+ million customers.
• Managing a complex LDAP system with 30+ million entries.
