Joined Pak-Suzuki Motors Co. Ltd as Management Trainee in Supply Chain function, Value Added and Development Department, to improve supplies with objective of part localization to achieve cost reduction and strengthen our supply channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• To study imported sub-parts in already localized KD parts, their sources, technological constraints and making a feasibility report for their localization.
• Testing and inspection of the planned KD parts for localization as per SMC requirement.
• To analyse Engineering drawings for study purpose.
• To study vendors for determining their capabilities and supply-ability.
• To suggest and work out improvement in the vehicles, by eliminating or replacing unnecessary parts.
• To initiate projects for cost reduction.
• To work on continuous improvement.
Part of final year project in Ali Brothers Forging industry, tackling the productivity improvement throughout the industry identifying bottleneck areas, suggesting appropriate strategies and mechanism to curtail the waste in production, identifying layout issues, laying stress on preventive maintenance, analyzed rejection rate through FMEA, improved die changeover through SMED application .
Worked on the project of cost optimization, performed documentation, studied variety of vehicles parts, performed time motion study, experienced various operations of shearing, blanking, drilling, welding, and forming, making process plans for parts.
Studied Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and graduated with 3.57 C.G.P.A, attended a motivational SME seminar by Nasarullah Ameen from IBA in August 2013, participated actively in group projects of Two Stroke Engine (September 2013), Simply Supported Beams (February 2014) and made a project on Dark Sensor (November 2014).
