• Provide an environment where students and staff have access to appropriate technologies, electronic and print resources and up-to-date information that supports the teaching and learning objectives of the Institution.
• Knowledge in Follett and Sierra Integrated Library Management System
• Provide orientation and instruction in information literacy.
• Promote independent and lifelong learning and provide support for students to gain the skills required for success in a knowledge-based society.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to create and deliver innovative learning opportunities to maximize students’ learning potential.
• Communicate with staff and students to develop collections, which support the curriculum and promote reading for pleasure.
• Coordinates with the faculty and administrators regarding the library resources needed by the Institute and its Emirati students
• Takes charge of gathering data and publication of the school’s newsletter on termly basis
• Act as secretary of the Environment, Health and Safety committee
• Covers classes whenever necessary
• Invigilate periodic exams and EmSAT Exams
• Organize Book clubs and supervises the reading club
• Handles reference queries & provides information &. referrals
• Provides information and reference service using print and online sources
• Manages Online Searches using Integrated Systems & Online Databases
• Does descriptive Cataloguing & Classification using DDC & LC & Library Integrated System (Marc21 formats)
• Processes and repairs library materials for circulation
• Assists in creating promotional materials, writing reports and maintaining files
