Sales Support Manager

I am working at Gourmet Foods in Sales & Marketing Department as Sales Support Manager. I am managing & supervising group of 15 people in my department. We are providing support to Sales Team & 550 Gourmet distributors across Pakistan. I am reporting to GM Sale & Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining the smooth operations, ensuring the high quality distributor and customer services and resolve issues in as effective manner while optimizing resource utilization.
2. Prepare & monitor AOP, sales forecasting, sales comparison/analysis, target achievements & distribution policies.
3. Collect detailed information from the market about competitor’s activities, their market share and observe closely various promotional campaigns launched by them and suggest how to counter them.
4. Plan & implement new promotions, product rates & create sale targets of ASM & TSO (Daily, Monthly & annually).
5. Monitor the effectiveness of trade promotions and prepare cost to benefit analysis statements of the expenditure before initiating and after the conclusion of every scheme.
6. To prepare & monitor annual & monthly brand & SKU wise targets and support sales team to achieve them.
7. Design & monitor direct company warehousing system across Pakistan in view of cost effective manners.
8. To analyze distributor wise sales and study the performance of the major distributors and advice sales team to establish new distributors in vacant areas.
9. Monitor Gourmet Market /Outlet Census & report to management.
10. Discuss the daily sales, ASM targets & production plans with GM Sales.
11. Keep in touch with the production department for daily & weekly production plan.
12. Congregate with the new hired distributors regarding company policy, distribution prerequisites, products rate, promotions etc.
13. Coordinate with the Sales Team regarding daily projections, dispatch invoices, cash deposit, stock position, pending load, online details & change of order.
14. Organize distributor claims and other benefit like incentive, bursting claim etc
15. Coordinate with the Shipment department for pending, confirmed & unconfirmed dispatches.
16. Provide detail previous, current & forecast Sale, Stock, Promotions & Target report
to GM sale.

System\Business Analyst

I was working at Nestle Head Office in Sales Department as System\Business Analyst. I was managing major projects like NDMS (Nestle Distribution Management Solution), BIS Integration, Retail Census.
NDMS (Nestle Distribution Management Solution):
NDMS is one of the mega project in the history of Nestle Pakistan which help provide shop level data to Nestlé that will aid in decision making at all levels Sales, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain. I was part of the team that developed the software and implement it Nationwide. Initially I visited different Nestle distributions across Pakistan to gather requirements for the software. During my visits I meet RSMs, ASM, and Distribution staff & comprehend how they are maintaining their daily routine work and convey how the new software will ease them. During the process, as I was in the field, I gained valuable knowledge of the Nestle distribution methodology. After my visits i write & develop “Requirement Specification Document” & part of “Functional Specification Document”. I was also involved in Testing and Debugging of the software. Currently DMS is running successfully at 130 locations across Pakistan.

9. Monitor & solve all issues related to software raise through ticketing system.
10. Train support vendor & Sales Automation Team on new releases.
11. Create & manage all Distributions Data Bases.
12. Liaised between both business and IT functional areas across company.
13. Update electronic and hard copies of all the developments & Software user guides.
Retail Census (RSS)
Nestlé has conducted retail census every year nationwide. Territory In charge were assigned the duty to conduct the survey at their respective territories .We adopted a technologically advanced methodology to collect data and develop a user-friendly software for analyzing the information, using HHTs and data analyzer using COGNOS (A business analysis and report generation tool).The objective of the retail census is to obtain comprehensive information about the retail shops. To identify the retail universe Coverage of Nestlé vs. Competition, Addition of new shops in each territory .Class & Category of the shops, Availability of Nestlé and Competitions products, Availability of Nestlé and Competitions chillers and freezers, reach of competing companies. I went to different Regions across Pakistan to give presentations, implement the software there and give training to the sales staff. I supervised 30 internees who were entering data that was received from the Regions. I provided Customizable Detailed Reports to sale, brand & Marketing team.
